Operational activities of a government can be radically improved with Artificial Intelligence technologies, and assist citizens to be served more effectively. A government can utilize AI applications to regulate traffic congestion, to medical treatment, even to complete tax applications among many others. A recent study from Deloitte has revealed that the US government could reduce the working hours per year by 97 million to 1.2 billion. In terms of cost, this means savings of $3.3 to $41.1 billion per year.

Recently the US government exploited chatbots to offer 24-hours support to citizens. Over the past years, the local government built several portals and populated them with the respective information. Nowadays, the administration understood that they could utilize these websites to solve simple inquiries of the citizens and save time from visiting or calling the respective bureau.

AI technologies can be utilized to complete simple tasks effectively. Tasks live providing benefits to unemployed people, benefits for childbirth, retirement, accidents are only a few of these cases that AI could assist.

Artificial Intelligence can provide multiple advantages for the public sector. AI technologies can deliver accurate and on-time data, forecasts, estimations to make better decisions, diagnostics, or re-occurring and simple assignments to free up some time for the frontline personnel.

Already someone could identify many AI applications in social security such as facial identification, emergency, automated messages to alert citizens, webcam surveillance, and more. The combination of AI apps with self-learning technologies can identify a potential threat. Algorithms calculate the pattern of the incident and suggest protection measurements for the citizens.

The education system can utilize AI technologies and portals to assist students in learning, examination, and provide corrective actions from entry to the university stage. These applications would provide more difficult tests for students to challenge them, recognizes areas of improvement in the education system, and suggests new subjects when the students are ready. Consequently, students can receive specialized and custom education with AI.

Last but not least, social media tracking for community response on regulations or extraordinary events may assist in identifying areas of improvement and plan of action to correct things.
