Denia Kanellopoulou, Innovation Services expert of ahedd DIH at NCSR Demokritos, was invited to talk about Women in Tech: Their success is breaking stereotypes, inspired by Qualco and hosted by ImpacTalk.
In the male-dominated STEM sector, four women shared their work experiences in STEM and their perspectives to the following questions:
- What challenges do women face in technology and research?
- Why is it important to increase their rates and what are the things we need to do to achieve this?
- Is it true that in these traditionally male-dominated fields, women face countless stereotypes and prejudices than in other, less male-dominated fields?
“There is no limit to what women can accomplish; limits and stereotypes are basically contrived by our society”, stated Denia.
The Experts that participated in the discussion, along with Denia Kanellopoulou, are Chrysavgi Salaka, VP, Solution Design & Customer Consulting, Qualco Group and Evangelia Balatsou, Neuroscientist in AI, Speech AI expert, founder of Greek Girls Code and member of the Lean In Startup Community.
