AI4Copernicus is an EU-funded (H2020) project which aims to enable innovation by bringing together the AI (Artificial Intelligence) and EO (Earth Observation) communities. The open calls will necessitate the utilisation of DIAS platforms, Copernicus data, the AI4EU platform and the services and resources that will be provided by the AI4Copernicus project.
3rd Open Call: Developing and testing AI technical solutions that address industrial challenges by exploiting AI resources and Earth Observation Data focusing on any industrial domains
Type of proposal: Experiments (The end output of the experiments should be at min TRL6)
Beneficiaries: SMEs (single partner projects)
Funding: up to € 80K for each prototype
Dates: 3rd open call Q1 2022 (February – April)
Submission Deadline: 30th April 2022

Projects Acceleration: Jan 2022 – April 2023
4th Open Call: Developing and testing AI technical solutions that address the selected citizen-driven societal challenges by exploiting AI resources and Earth Observation Data focusing on any industrial domains.
Type of proposal: Use-Case (The end output of the Use-Cases should be at min TRL5)
Beneficiaries: Consortia of high-tech & at least 1 low-tech SME, startups, spin-offs
Funding: up to € 150k (3-partner consortia), up to € 120.000€ (2-partner consortia) for each prototype (3 prototypes to be funded)
Dates: 4th open call Q1 2022 (February- April)
Submission Deadline: 30th April 2022
Selection: May/July 2022
