ahedd participated in the “Igniting DIHs collaboration with BOWI” event, organised by the Boosting Widening Digital Innovation Hubs – BOWI project, which took place in Brussels on Thursday 11 May 2023.
The event aimed to showcase the tools and methodologies developed to forge interregional collaboration between DIHs, as well as share success stories, lessons learned and tips for effective collaboration with other DIHs. The session also included a hands-on workshop on establishing fruitful and long-lasting collaborations with other (E)DIHs.
Denia Kanellopoulou attended the event and had the opportunity to network with (E)DIHs and explore potential collaboration opportunities. As a Digital Innovation Hub, ahedd recognises the significance of collaboration between DIHs to improve the competitiveness of regions and provide joint services to local SMEs.
About BOWI
The BOWI project, funded by the EU, aims to develop a digital innovation hub widening network that supports the cooperation of new and existing digital innovation hubs. It seeks to strengthen proto-hubs through experiments, facilitate collaboration between proto-hubs and mature hubs, ensure the sustainability of the BOWI network and create a community comprising proto-hubs, mature hubs, regional stakeholders and investors. The vision of collaboration between DIHs in BOWI, similar to that of EDIHs, is to improve the competitiveness of regions by making more efficient and effective use of regional capacities. Therefore, BOWI explores the mechanisms that connect hubs from widening regions with other DIHs, encouraging the creation of corridors or collaboration avenues that go beyond ad-hoc collaboration.
